Latitude 32 Restaurant is a finalist in three Gold Plate awards. The good news was announced at Crown Casino.
From the window of Dhueys, a popular fish and chip shop near the Rockingham foreshore, Marc Kenly could see the landscape changing. New property developments were planned and the city council was starting to reinvigorate the area. An entertainment strip was earmarked (and is now open) that includes franchised, family restaurants.
Rockingham Kwinana Chamber of Commerce, Rustico Tapas and Bar, Kent Street Deli and Latitude 32 have joined forces for Rockingham’s first Long Table Lunch. The lunch aims to promote the foreshore precinct as a viable investment option for businesses, chamber president Karen court said. The Long Table lunch will treat guests to five courses as they enjoy entertainment and a sunset on the sand. Mrs. Court said RKCC had an overwhelmingly positive response to a recent survey designed to gauge interest in the event.
Latitude 32 is inviting the community to celebrate the New Year 1920’s style. The event will kick off at 8pm and run until late, offering party goers 4 hours of drinks and food to indulge in, as well as live entertainment.
Having living in Canada most of his life, Latitude 32 owner, Marc Kenly said that seafood was not a common dish. It was not until he moved to Australia that he discovered how amazing quality fresh seafood could be. Marc Kenly is a chef by trade, but since opening his steak and seafood restaurant in March, he has enjoyed watching the pleasure spread across his guests faces when they taste the signature dishes his restaurant has to offer. One of his personal favorites is the Garlic Prawns.
Marc Kenly admits that many warned him that opening a high-end restaurant in Rockingham was a risk, but he is proving the critics wrong with his latest venture, the stylish Latitude 32. The eye-catching design and decor would not be out of place among Melbourne esteem restaurants.
Diners arrived at Rockingham foreshore on Tuesday last week for the opening of the new steak and seafood restaurant, Latitude 32. Guests were greeted by the friendly waitstaff with a selection of beers, wines and cocktails, and a selection of appetizers from the menu. Local musician Adrian Wilson entertained guests with his acoustic set list.
